45 years ago today

It didn't have a name. It was the 57th FA Bn in support of the Infantry on the DMZ.
Found some old film that was still good. A couple of shots from a moving Jeep. I think one said no cameras and one was something about restricted area.

June 16 1981 for me. Reception station was Ft Jackson then off to sunny FT Benning Ga 3rd Herd B-9-2. DS SFC GOSA and HENDRICKSON

For me it's been 45 years and 2 months. May 2nd 1966. Lackland AFB, then Chanute AFB for tech school and finally Langley Field for my permenent station.

From Langley I got about 3/4's of the way around the world including the UK, Japan, RVN, HI, AK, Italy, Germany as well as a few other stops. Three years and ten months with an early out.

All who served deserve the country's thanks.

A short 6 months stay in the 82nd then off to Never Never Land with the 2/502 Inf, 101st Abn.

Spent my last year at Ft Devens MA, got out in 69 and joined the AK ARNG in '73, retiring in 1992.
