4506 Holster

I have a 645 which is not all that much different. Depends on the weather and attire, but either a Gould & Goodrich pancake holster or a Galco Miami Classic.

Tucked in my waistband. It never slips, moves, or gives me any trouble. I tried a Bianchi #6 I believe it was, but just stuffed in the waistband works best for me. I can draw it far faster than from any holster, and I can adjust it easily for positioning. I've been carrying it this way for several years now.

Because of Houston weather, I'll only consider carrying my 1026 (same size) OWB in the winter. I found an Aker 3 slot pancake for the 4506 at Galls that works just fine that way.

Galco Miami Classic.

I too have been looking and it seems that Galco doesn't make any 10XX or 45XX shoulder holsters except the light model which looks terrible to me. I wanted the Jack Ass or the Miami, but those are not listed.

I'm partial to paddle holsters and have them for all of my handguns, usually a Galco CCP or Speed Paddle, but Galco has nothing I liked for a 4506-1.

This is a Safariland 568 "custom fit" series holster, it's become my favorite for my 3rd gen pistols:

When I was searching out a holster for my 1026, it looked like both Aker and Bianchi had shoulder rigs for them. Since I wasn't looking for a that kind of holster I didn't pay too much attention to what they're like vis-a-vis the Galco models. Galls has lots of the Akers in stock FWIW.

FWIW,
I was told that the holsters for a Beretta 92 will work.
I would try a friends out first.

You need to try each desired 92 holsters first. I have several here, and the only one that I could get to fit a 4566 was a Bianchi #5 for the 92.

I like leather holsters for my handguns. The only holster I could find specifically for a 4506 was a Bianchi #5. It works well, but is not a full length holster.
