In my home area, we see them in "good" condx for upwards of 450-500.

At that price, I'd have to try and get it.

No can not shoot it but. The gun is tight. It is not in as good of shape as my 5906 which i got for alot less there. It has some slight pitting under the grips but for $60 bucks I can get it bead blasted. With that said I will most likely buy it.

I would say buy it and if anything feels wrong in the trigger its under waranty and smith will fix it no charge.

That is what I was thinking. I am just getting into reloading and I can not think of a better 45 to shoot it through. My 5906 shoots anything I put through it with out a problem I am figuring the 4506 will be the sme way. Plus it is just a darn mean looking gun. I shot one at the range the other night and that one out shoot my kimber an did not jam but that is a whole other story on that *** it only will feed ball ammo. It points and shoots like the 5906 which has become my favorite so why not.

Unless it looks like someone ran it through a chipper/shredder, I would think 350.00 is a solid deal. Word is getting out and these things are becoming more highly sought after.

I agree. If it's been rode hard and put away wet, maybe not. Buy anything from good to like new condition and it's a great price.

I bought it and it shoots great. Trigger is good pits under the grip but not bad. Shot all of the ammo I got for my kimber. But the kimber would not feed it as usual. All I can say now is good riddens Kimber.

Not sure on a 4506-1. There were some design changes between them.
