4506 Question

Anyone have an idea of the dash number and year for a 4506 w/ S/N starting "EKZ"? Round triggerguard, adjustable sights.

If it is laser engraved and marked 4506, It is A 4506-3. They are special order only. We purchased A large amount from Fresno Co. I looked at the invoice there were several "EKZ" The invoice does not say if they were -3or -01 .There were both in the purchase, i think they are 4506-3. If you send A photo I can tell for certian.I will see if we have any of the " EKZ" left and I will post.

Thanks Brian. It's laser etched and marked "4506". I didn't want to say that up front in case it confused the matter but it sounds like that would have made it clearer. Any idea what year it would be from? I assume post-2000?

Call Smith & Wesson at 1-800-331-0852, give them the serial number and they will tell you when the gun was manufactured.

I called them last week and they told me my 4506-1 was made in Dec. of 1995.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did so and they told me May of 1999, which I guess makes it a late 4506-1 (Product Code 108143, I didn't have that before).
