"What can I use to polish the stainless"

I spent the better part of 10 hours making mine look shiny and new today.I thought about sending it back to S&W but couldn't see payiung 200.00 dollars for something i could do my self.I used my trusty dremmel tool,400,600,800,1,000,2,000 grit sandpaper along with some mothers mag wheel polish and cleaner. Now it looks almost brand new,but i'm not done yetI still have a few minor things to finish on it.

Damn Biggs357, that slide is beautiful! I'm half tempted to get my 4506 out and get to polishing. I may well make a winter project of it and polish the whole thing to a mirror finish.

My 4506 is well used. It was my buddy's duty weapon for years and has holster wear to show for it. I have since treated it like a combat weapon - keeping it in top operational condition but no particular concern for its outward appearance aside from keeping it corrosion-free. It has been my bedside HD weapon for quite some time now and just recently a M&P-9 has taken over this duty. My 4506 is still my favorite .45ACP pistol ever and one of my favorite range pistols (the Apex DCAEK equipped M&P-9 is right up there with it). Maybe it's time to give the 4506 a nice polish.
