No particular problems with the 4516-1's. Check what you normally would on any semi auto pistol.
I'd check the barrel hood, breech face, slide to frame fit, barrel to slide fit. I'd also take the top end off and check for rail wear and frame cracks - and be amazed to find anything wrong too.

It is a heavy chunk of steel to haul around, but for serious social situations, I don't think it can be beat.
I don't think you can go wrong with any S&W steel .45.
