Looking for ideas on what holsters are being used to carry the brick.IWB or OWB I really like the operation of this gun and would like to try it out for CCW.Decock only with bobbed hammer Police trade in.Bought it for a house gun. Its just a great gun to shoot .Thanks

Another great leather work in addition to Lobo is Andrews Leather, he has a mold for the 4566 and makes exceptional quality holsters.

CCW--Years ago I carried my service revolver and BU off duty.
As the years and age progressed my CCW became smaller and lighter.
IWB carry was never comfortable, especially when my chest began to drop down to my waist line.
I found that a full size "Off Duty" or smaller "Whimp" weapon was most comfortable carried OWB strong side in a pancake style holster.

If you are not against the concept, the 4566 with a bobbed hammer fits a Beretta 92FS shoulder holster. The Smith will also fit in the Taurus PT24/7 Serpa CQC kydex , if you want an option for retention.

I carry my 4566 in a Kramer OWB, great holster.
I used to carry my 4586 (same size as 4566 but DAO) off duty in a Gould & Goodrich Gold Line pancake holster. It was strong, sturdy and well made. Plus IIRC the price was very reasonable. I liked it enough to buy one for my 4506-1 and 3rd Gen 9mm's too.

All of the aforementioned holsters will give yeoman service. One of the best surprises for me (I'm kind of a holster snob) is the Don Hume H721 OT.
I have a Hume H721 for my 4-inch Model 58/28. You can hide these Dragoons under a sweater without much fanfare.
Hume is the working man's holster. Good gouge about Andrews leather. Good kit indeed.
They are big guns, but can be well hidden with the RIGHT OWB holster.
Remember: The best holster is NOTHING without the best belt. Get a good belt to keep it where it's supposed to be. Best $$$ I ever spent was on a Kramer, Rosen (Express Line from Dillon Precision) or even the nicer GALCO belts.
