Were all the 4576's stainless?

In the S&W 3rd gen code the last digit "6" denotes stainless steel.

The 4576 is a relatively rare bird. Only 1,365 units were produced by S&W per Roy Jinks, S&W Historian. I'm pretty sure there was never any 4574 (blue) pistols produced.

4576 for $495 on Armslist.com, I'd rather have the 4566 with the slide mounted de-cocker. I have a 1076 and not crazy about the frame de-cocker.

Last one I saw sell on the auction site went for well over $1000 if I remember correctly.

I've never seen them anything but stainless.

The only one I saw was stainless steel & LNIB. They were asking over $1300 IIRC.
