Simunions maybe. Dye markers fired out of modified pistols. The agency I retired from used something similar in 40 S&W third gen guns to parrot our 4566 issue guns. I remember no live ammo, live guns, knives or chemical agents inside the secured range area. We were searched twice before entering.

We wore protective gear, but it still stung a bit when you got shot. Very realistic training.

They are not Simunition rounds, and the headstamp does not appear to be military. Maybe WRA 45 Auto? I will try to find out more by posting it on the IAA Forum. If it can be identified anywhere, that's the place.

My best guess is some attempt at an armor piercing bullet.
