45acp moon clips are ok but

I use 2 round clips from Ranch Products in my Colt 1917 service revolver because, for me, they're easier and quicker to insert and remove than full or half moon clips. They're made for the S&W Governor but work perfectly in my Colt and Ranch sells them separately.
On the rare occasions when I use full moon clips in the Colt I load and unload them with a Mooner tool from BMT.
Not cheap but a sweet tool! ;)

That looks like a nice loader, I had not seen one. My son made this loader/unloader for me to go with my mod. 22.4. It works like a champ.

Nice. I have one similar to yours that I use for two round and half moon clips but if you shoot a lot of full Moon clips that Mooner tool is awesome.

When I bought my model 25 the guy included 100 pieces of AR brass and dozen moon clips. I load 45 on my Forster press and the adapter was rather expensive so I learned to love my moon clips, and the BMT is without a doubt the best.

My first .45 ACP handgun was a S&W M25 so that’s all I bought & reloaded was .45 Auto Rim. It was another 25 years before I bought a 1911 pistol (after I shot a coworker’s 1911 w/ enhanced grip safety. No hammer bite like I always got in the Army). I still prefer my N Frames though.

You can load three two round clips faster than a single full moon clip?

How are the two round clips easier to remove? Ejector removes them the same, doesn’t it?

When I use half moon or full moon clips I have to "jiggle" them a little to load them into the cylinder and sometimes, like after the cylinder is dirty from shooting a lot of rounds, though the ejector pushes the empties nearly all the way out, they sometimes hang up a bit.
The first problem is likely due in part to the advanced arthritis in my hands but it doesn't happen when using the two round clips and after the cylinder is dirty the empties hang up less when I eject them.
