Hey everyone,
Needing some help and suggestions.I've started loading the 460 S&W for a friend in his 24"Encore.This is a new cartridge for me.Factory Hornady loads with the 200FTX clock almost 2900fps in this barrel and are dead on the money at 50 and 100 yards. He started loads with Accurate-5744 and a starting charge of 32.0 grains. At 50 yards this load cuts the same hole with 3 shot groups,at a 100 it goes to pieces with a trail of unburnt powder.I'm wanting suggest a load with H-110.But start with a reduced load. But being such a large case and the H-110 not being a reduced load powder,I'm stumped.Factory loads as I said are around 2900 fps and they are a little punishing.I would like to get as close to the factory loading as possible.Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
