Does anyone know where I can find a 460 XVR with the 14 inch barrel and bipod? Everywhere I have looked is out of stock. Thanks in advance!

I'd sign on with a Gunbroker and/or another 'net sales site and keep a lookout for the gun you want.
This gives you an opportunity not only to look for your gun, but do a search for others that have sold to establish fair price to pay.

Be patient and have the money to buy when a good "Buy-it-now" shows up!

Welcome to the forum and good luck on finding that big gun!:)

I Second that also try Cabela's and their gun libray and store like that as well, just sometimes you get a deal there and sometimes you pay full retail.

I think I found one. Borders Sporting Goods out of Kentucky said they can order me one. 1275 shipped. Not a bad price.

Found out some interesting information today. I called the guy at Borders and he told me he was having a hard time finding the 460 XVR 14 inch. So, I called Smith and Wesson and the guy there said they hadn't started to make them yet. The brochure says new for 2011. He said they had 200 orders for them though.

Well, I don't believe it. Almost a year later and it's here. Happened to be looking on an auction site Saturday and one showed up. I hesitated and it was gone by morning. Came to work Monday and told one of my co-workers and he said he just saw one at a local gunshop. Sure enough, they had one. It is now going home with me. What a sweet gun!!!! worth the wait I guess.

460 XVR's are the Bomb......... glad you found one I love mine its the 8.5 in model.....

I have the same gun, only it is the one with the 12" barrel and no break. It shoots really great!

I have no idea why the 14" w/break and bipod is $200 cheaper than the 12" with no break or bipod??

....I connot even imagine the noise that thing is going to make with the big potato break. I use plug and muffs with mine and it still rings my ears....yours is going to be Really LOUD!:D

Keep us posted

Freedom thats what I have been trying to find out why the 14 inch is cheeper .. I have a 500 in a 10" with that muzzle brake its LOUD Im going to buy one soon the 460 14 inch yes they are hard to find
