.460

I can appreciate your zest for the power wagons of the pistol and rifle world. While it is not my thing, I am one of the gawkers when you guys send the pressure wave across the shooting line. Our indoor range allows big bore handguns and I get looks just firing full house 44magnum.

One thing I have noticed is that they seem a bit challenging if you decide to sell.

Have fun and as others have stated reloading will be an absolute must. I started reloading for 357 and 44 due to cost and they are cheap compared to the big boys.

It's always fun watching people's reaction at the range when something that sounds like a cannon comes out.

Thankfully, even if I don't shoot it much, it will always say least make for a good conversation piece. I see no reason I would want to sell it.

I have the 5" model 460 and carry it in a chest style holster when up in the mountains with my Polaris Ranger side by side . I load up her up with HSM factory 325 gr. bear loads when doing so.
Otherwise, I just reload .454 Casull, 45 Colt and even .45 Schofield for shooting at the range.

I have the same gun on the way. Which chest rig did you buy, and are you satisfied with it?

Finally

I finally got my 460 guys. So far I have only been able to shoot .45colt out of it, which felt like shooting a .22. I'll make it up to a different range this week to put some 454 and 460 through it and let you guys know how it goes. So glad I finally found one of these beasts. Now just to get the remainder of my reloading supplies and shoot some full power rounds through it. I cannot wait.

Thank you guys for the input on this and the push to start reloading for it. Thanks to you guys, I have two manuals, two powders(h110 and accurate #9), primers for two of the three calibers, dies for 460, and cases for 454 and 45colt. I'll be going to probably two gun shows over the next couple of weeks to get more supplies for reloading and maybe some new ammo instead of buying more cases.
