I have a 469. Evey now and then when I would shoot it. it would not lock into battery. It's not a feeding issue. It doesn't jam, and it always ejects. Sometimes I have to tap the slide for it to go forward.

I just replaced the recoil and mag springs, and it did it again.

The spring that I used was the standard/OEM rated one. Should I go to an extra power spring?

PS using 115gr FMJ factory ammo in it.

There should be no need for a heavier recoil spring. A picture of the pistol's ejection port area when it is jammed would be of great help. My first thought is a dirty chamber is inhibiting the full chambering of the cartridge. It is also possible that the edge of the case mouth is catching a sharp edge at the breech end of the chamber. My 6946 had such an edge and it would snag case mouths. A few minutes spent giving that edge a very slight bevel solved that issue.

It is also possible that a build up of gunk in the extractor channel is inhibiting the movement of the extractor or a bur on the lower edge of the extractor is causing rounds to not feed correctly

Oh the old 'jammo-matic' again...sounds like a tight or rough chamber, machine burs etc. Get something like a P229 and have something that runs when you need it to. Air Marshals use it and there is a reason for that.

I have 124gr, and I'll give it a good cleaning and lube again.

Agreed, do this.

If that doesn't work, I'll go for the next spring weight up.

But I wouldn't do this, for this problem, if it's still not running right.

You'll just need to look closer to find the source of the occasional resistance to lock-up.

I had this problem with my M&P and it was my reloads(I see you are using factory ammo). The COAL was a little over and the bullet was engaging the rifling. Bill

Since you are using factory loads I'll assume it's not the ammo (where I had my admittedly long but still within SAAMI spec 45ACP loads causing a problem in my M&P M2 45.)

When it comes down to it, there are not many parts that could cause the problem. The slide and the frame have their rails, where if something was wrong there it would never work right, so you're left with the parts that are attached to them that physically contact each side, but not built in to either.

My first guess is the ejector got bent or is somehow out of position. This comes from dealing with Springfield 1911's, where some genius thought it was a good idea to glue the things in instead of a pin the way Browning designed the thing. Take a close look at the pieces sticking up from the frame.
