Just picked up a "new" (to me) 469 today and it's my first second gen gun, though I have shot my Dad's 659 a bit over the years.
I'm very happy with the condition but the trigger is not so nice as the third gen guns I have or have had (maybe a little mushy and long in both SA and DA?).
I'm thinking it's more an issue of wear than a physical difference between second and third gen triggers.
So two questions:
1. Is there a noticeable difference between second and third gen triggers?
2. Can the trigger be helped (new springs, polishing)? Is there a preferred reference for S&W auto trigger work like the Kunhausen or other books for the revolvers?
Thanks
