5” M&P 2.0 9mm now in Black

Purchased one on Tues and am waiting on delivery. Should be here today or tomorrow. Looking forward to shooting the 5" frame. I think I might be the only person that somewhat likes the sights. I especially like the green front.

The lady who works at my LGS said she likes the sights.
I really like that the rear is adjustable, and other than thinking I want to swap the red and green, I have no issue with them.
If fact, I like fiber optic sights for the range, and have installed FO sights on a number of my handguns.
I'm really looking forward to shooting this pistol!

I'm going to my local police department today to see if they've signed/extended my purchase permits.
They should be signed now that the July 4th 'weekend' is behind us.

Lemme know when they put up an optics ready version of the 5" 9 2.0. I'll be watching.

Until then I'm shooting my highly "augmented" M&P 9 Pro 5" with a PC ported barrel and slide.

Why would the FDE version have the thumb safety and the black one doesn't? All my M&P's have thumb safeties.

Picked mine up today!
Also put 100 rounds through it.

I like it a lot! The green front/red rear sights are surprisingly bright - I think the way they are slightly angled forward really helps them pick up the range lights in my gun club. I found the green front sight very positive (better than I expected!) and swapped the light pipes on my 45 Shield to match.

I put my Lyman trigger gauge on it and it has an average trigger pull of 5 lbs 3.6 oz. Better than my Compact 3.6" (5 lbs. 12.6 oz.), but not quite as good as my 45 Shield (4 lbs. 15.4 oz.). It will probably improve with use. Accuracy was good, but I want to put in more range-time with it.
