I have the 8 3/8 inch modle with the non removeable compensator. I noticed while cleaning the gun that the conpensator is slightly loose now. It moves just barely but it never moved at all before. Was wondering if this is normal after shooting it for a while or if there is a way to make it tight again. thanks :D

I would pay attention to my fillings and some other body parts---I really don't understand how that thing stays together.

I just checked the compensator on mine which is the same model you have and mine is tight. The 500 with the 8 3/8th barrel doesn't have as much recoil as say a Lew Horton 44 mag snub nose IMHO. I shot a short video and put it on youtube right after the 500 came out. Of course I had to have one. :)

Heres a photo of mine as it dwarfs a 686.
