I have a 500 P/C 10 1/2" barrel and would like too save a little time. What are some loads ya'll are loading. I'm looking for 0-150 yrds.Thanks for your time.

I am new to this site but have 5 different S&W500s.
I use everything for barnes 275gr solid copper HP to 700gr cast, I am a member of castboolits.com and have a 383gr HP/FP mold that is being machined right now.
I have lots of different loads just pm me with what your loading and I will try to help. If you want to make shooting your 500 cheap check out the castboolits site and start casting your own. I have 6 different bullet molds for the 500 right now that will cover everything from rabbits to elephant, wont be much left of the rabbit though.

I shoot a 325 gr Barnes with 43 gr W296. It comes out of my 10 1/2" PC 500 and makes less than 1 1/2" groups at 100 yards if I do my part.
I loaded some of their 275 gr bullets as well and they did a great job as well but I don't remember what load I used.

I use 42gr H110 behind the Barnes 275gr, out of my 10 1/2" they are right at 2100fps. I use the same load for the speer 325gr JHP and shoot it in my 4", very easy to control with 4" rapid fire groups at 15 yards, 5 ounds in 4 seconds.

Sorry for taking so long getting back thanks for all info. I will be useing load for whitetail deer. I can get H110, Lil Gun & H4227. Bullets & primers, thats the thing that might be a problem. This is the third time I'm trying too get set up too reload and I can't get every thing I need,I can't even get the Horady factory loads 350 XTP gr. I can say with those I'm out too 125 yrds around 4" group. I really love the way this gun shoots and it's not at all bad too shoot like some claim. If I had the chance too shoot all day I would. Once agin thanks for your time.

for whitetail I would use Barnes 250 or 275gr XTP with a load of 42gr H110 or 40gr Lilgun or 40gr of 4227, that will get you right around 1850-1900fps out of a 6.5" 500
I use CCI large rifle primers with corbon or starline brass.
Seated at 2.085. I have these going over 2000 out of my 10.5" light kicking too.
