Just picked up a 4" model well used. Anyone have/know where to get replacement "extractor segments"? A barrel? No luck with Numrich:(

How many extractor segments do you need? Those beryllium clips get more expensive each year

Are you planning on shooting lead hand loads in your 547? If not, just install a Model 13 barrel. It will shoot jacketed ammunition fine all day long

And do not forget to post your pictures, both before and after the repair

Call S&W customer service. Get your answer from the "horse's mouth."

My 547 is in the Performance Center now for repairs. I'm not sure exactly what they're going to replace/repair, but the quoted fee seems reasonable to me.

Hey saa, I just PM'd you. I don't have alot of confidence speaking to S&W customer service reps. Many don't seem up to speed with the finer points of obscure guns like the 547 ie: "Yeh its a k frame, all the parts are interchangeable. Just send it in..."
To complicate things further, I'm told I have to send it to a warranty center here in Canada.

I had not realized you are in Canada.

I agree, no matter what they told me I would not send a 547 to an "Authorized repair facility"

A revolver that old needs to go to the Factory
