Lgs has a 95% nickel 57-1 with 4" barrel and pachmyrs that he will take $650 OTD. Everything about the gun mechanically and cosmeticaly is good. What about the price?

I gave 500 otd for a 6" blue no dash with barely a turn ring, and factory combats. I think I got a steal though.

Think of a 57-1 as a 29-3 or 27-3 in 41 magnum. They go for less than the older guns, are not P&R and have the "floating hand" which was not really that admired. I think to me that is a little on the high side, but not much. If it comes with the right grips, that helps your case.

Just gave 600$ out the door for a nice 57 8 3/8" nickle, fired very little..shoots good..

I need a clarification. SCSW states that the floating hand came with the M57-2 along with the new yoke retention system and radius stud in 1988. Could the floating hand have been used as early as 1982?
