Went to a bigger show today.........thought I would look for a nickle 57-2 since I have an excellent complete display box.

Got there late, Donnas gal pal didnt show. She sat with Trap-door/Krag rifle guys. S&W guy at the end of that row had several guns, but no 57-anything. Looked at many many S&Ws of correct era in only about 1/3 the show, one guy must have had 10 nickled 19s of all configurations w/paper boxes.. My brother & two shooting pals showed up & we had to socialize, more time lost..... Guys kept stopping me to ask about Donna, sent them to Row L to see her.

Another guy had 25 or more guns of the correct era including one blue 6"(???), no -, w/wrapping paper, cardboard sleeve, all the target bells & whistles in absolutely new condition, box liner had a small triangular hole in muzzle end depression......pain but seems all are broken, tools, papers etc., $1295.00.......

Being determined to find a nickle gun, I walked. Happened to see Donna in an adjoining aisle way, helped her to see some of the old guys she wanted to talk to.......more time out from hunting.

Just in the middle of the show, Row L to Row T, must be 200 S&Ws. I didnt look at all at the old ones, or whatever was without pinned barrels. Still a bunch. Going to check the blued 57-2 I have with the idea of going back tomorrow & getting the 57-0........going to sleep on a second blued 57...........

I did get a Japanese 7.7 carbine w/all match numbers, bayonet & capture papers w/bright shiney bore. Donna was sitting at his table after a tinkle palace visit when I noticed it.

At least I came home w/something.....!!!!!!!!!
