I have a 586-1 hold the revolver level everything is fine,but if I tilt the gun about 30deg. upward the gun will cock but the cylinder will not rotate. any suggestions?

This is just off the top of my head, but it sounds to me like the spring on the hand is either broken, missing, or improperly installed. Repair would require removal of the sideplate and the trigger assembly.
But I don't know for certain that I'm correct. More knowledgeable folks will respond soon, I'm sure.
