Over payment doesnt matter as long as you're happy with the deal. I have a over paid for a few guns in my time, I just look at it like this, I paid too much too soon. Eventually they will be worth what I paid.
Ive often considered an L-comp but I found a 19 K-comp instead.

I got a used L-Comp a few months ago (no picture, no camera) and it came from the Performance Center with a pretty good trigger job. If you haven't even touched it how do you know it needs a trigger/action job? You may well be spending money on un-needed work.

I had a 586 L Comp and it had a terrific action right out of the box, one of the benefits of buying a PC gun. I agree with Dave T, try it before you pay someone for work the gun probably doesn't need.

I was looking at one all week then friday it was mysteriously vanished.

I appreciate the advice and I've received many PC guns and have yet o feel one that my Smith could not improve on
