Hi Folks,

Wondering if someone could help me on this with a value (subject to I haven't seen it yet).

As described:

S&W - MOD. 586-3 (4") MADE IN 1992
USED - TOP CONDITION - 90% FINISH
NO PAPERS - NO BOX
PACHMAYR GRIPS.
BUCHEIMER HOLSTER (CUSTOM MADE WALNUT GRIPS)

Appreciate any guidance on price before wading in eyes wide shut.

Thanks in advance,

4" 686 no dash

Scrummy,
Does scrumbag mean the same in Switzerland as it does in the US?
I just bought a 686 no dash for $570 including shipping and FFL with targets. What are they asking for the one you're looking at?

I'm originally from the UK and played rugby. In rugby, there is something called a "Scrum" and scrumbag is a play on that and the dirty deeds that go on in a "Scrum"

They are looking for 650 as an opening gambit.

ATB,

i dont know what prices are like in switzerland but i bought a near perfect 586 no dash with original grips for $550 this year. if that were in my area i wouldnt pay more than $500 if i was in the market.

Well things are a little more expensive over here. We'll go to the nitty gritty of haggling I guess.

Cheers folks and keep'em coming.

Here its a $450 to $550 gun in good condition no box or docs,
NIB maybe $675, lower condition maybe $300.

Everything was slightly more expensive in CH including Swiss made guns when i was there 7 years ago,

Weird we pay less for Swiss guns made in their country than they do,
Of course they could walk into gun shop and buy silencers and machine guns without a special permit or tax stamp at that time as well.

Not so strange I suppose considering the men are all in the military and take their machine guns home from weekend training and keep them in the closet.

Yeah, sadly things have tightened up a little since. You can still get fully autos as a collector I believe. Silencers are a lot tougher though as I understand it.

ATB,

Scrummy
