586, value?

My FFL showed me a 99% 6 inch nickel 586 no dash last night. Has the box but no paperwork, and obviously has been fired. Original stocks with the sticker on the bottom, and the nickel is perfect except for 1 tiny spot of very minor freckling just under the horn of left stock, about a 1/8 of an inch.
Any idea on price?

The going rate seems to be $550. An exceptional example,such as the one you describe,will probably command a slight premium,but $600 would be my limit. JMO.

In my area, a nickel 586 4" would go for $525 to $575 depending of course on condition. A 6" would be priced a little lower in the same condition. The freckling under the horn should not be an issue, but if it is not freckling and is corosion, that would be a problem and I would offer less. Just my 2 cents.
