59 MAGS

Do 59 Series Mags fit in a 5906? Did a search on info could not find if they fit. Thanks Rich

Yes, they do fit; however, 5900 series magazines are much better.

15 rounders, plastic floorplate.

well, the earlier 59xx mags were 14 rounders as well. So, look for late model 15 rd magazines that are original S&W mags, or, you can buy aftermarket MecGar 15, 17 or 20 rounders. The 15 and 17 are flush fit, in either nickel or blued finish. The 20 rounders stick out about an inch I believe.

Any mags NOT S&W or MecGar are hit or miss quality wise. Most here say MecGar or originals, nothing else is worth spending any money on.
