I have a 5906 and a 459. I took a CHL class in TX a couple weeks ago. I wanted something smaller and more compact than my S&W autos for concealed carry, so I bought a Taurus PT111. But for the class qualification I used my 5906. From everything that I have read about the 5906, I gathered that it is known for it ruggedness and reliability, but not known for being very accurate. Wow, I was suprised at how accurate my 5906 was. The way it's scored, is anything inside the 8 ring is 5 points. There are 50 rounds fired. That means if all 50 rounds are inside the 8 ring, it's a perfect score of 250. Most of the class was firing plasic guns. I was the only one in a class of about 25 people to get a perfect score of 250. Not only did I keep all of them inside the 8 ring, but the only two that were outside the 9 ring actually tore the 9 ring. I fell in love with my 5906 all over again. I knew that it was one of the most rugged and reliable handguns ever made. Now I know that it can hold it's own in accuracy with the best of them.
