5906 round trigger guard , flat backstrap grip, with non Novak fixed sights? If it did could someone please post a picture and the product code. thanks VI

The round guards and Novak sights showed up '92-93 but I've seen guns with one and not the other. The straight grips were usually on the 4000 series guns but are easily changed out for personal taste. If the gun serial number puts it in that time frame it most likely correct except someone changed the grips.

I'm not possitive and don't have a product code, but I've seen them and don't know why it wouldn't be common. I think most 5906's sold as civilian guns came with curved back straps, but I believe most LE trade-ins I've seen (especially true with 4006's) have had straight backstraps. I would assume S&W would put whatever style grip a department wanted on their pistols therefore both probably exist on LE guns. Not sure about commerical offerings.

The Novaks generally came out just before the round guard, so the combo you want is not very common. Go with a 915, which had that combo
