5906 Grips ??

I broke down and bought a good used 5906. Seems like a good solid pistol, i hope. I have fairly small hands and not real long fingers. The arched grips put my finger a little farther from the trigger tha I like. I have the same problem with a arched mainspring housing on a 1911. With a flat housing and short trigger it can reach it fine.

Does S&W make a straight grip for the 5906? I see that it is easy to get the grips on and off so it would be no problem switching grips out, if they offer a straight plastic grip..

They do indeed make such a thing. I ordered my last pair from Midway, but I believe they can be had from Smith & Wesson directly as well.

The grips are a one-piece design, the straight ones were standard on the 4000 series guns which fit both 4000/5900 full size guns.
