5906 Trigger Pull Improvement Possible?

If you are long on cash, you could send it off to Novak's. Wolff has lighter weight springs available if you are able to install them yourself. There are some videos on YouTube showing assembly/disassembly of 3rd gen. guns. I have a 5946 from Novak's, but it's DAO. I have not experimented with the springs on any of my 3rd gen. guns, so I can not offer you any info from experience. I have used Wolff springs to lighten the pull on 1911's and Ruger's with good results.Springs for SMITH & WESSON NUMBERED SERIES Semi-Auto Pistols http://www.novakshttp://www.smith-w...ights.com/function_options.htm#SMITH_&_WESSON

The quick fix is to use a 17# or 18# hammer spring to lower DA pull. I usually replace the trigger return spring with a 3#, polish off the edges on the trigger bar and hammer strut along with the lighter hammer spring. I always replace the recoil spring with a stock or 1# higher spring.
