6.5 Creedmoor small primers

I have a box of Lapua brass in 6.5 Creedmoor with small primer pockets.

I also have plenty of small rifle primers.

The problem is, I can't find any loading data for small primer 6.5CM.

I have both 4064 and 4350 powder I could use.

Small primer 6.5C and small primer 308 use basically the same data as Large primer cases. The difference will be in how your rifle responds. Forget what the mast accurate load was before!

Don't bother developing a load unless you can dedicate 500 or more primers of the same lot. My recommendation would be 1) Remington 7 1/2, 2) CCI BR 400, 3) Federal 205M. You would be wasting resources with anything else!

Even though you have 4064 and4350, I would wait until you get some Varget!

I shoot Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor brass with both small primer pockets and large primer pockets. I use the same load of H4350. Accuracy and velocity are the same with either one. I don't shoot a 6.5 Creedmoor...........
but my 22-250 & 270 both do well with 4064 & 4350 powders......
from light target, hot 100 degree loads, to factory full power hunting loads.....

just in case you can't find more powder.........
Varget and 4064 are "Twins" when it comes to amounts and pressures, +/- 4%..........

I bought a 6 Creedmoor this spring. I had a 100 or so LP brass on hand, but could find only Starline brass Small primer brass to buy, so I did. No regrets what so ever. As DeplorabusUnum stated, I get same velocity and accuracy with the small primer that I do with the large primer in every load I have tried. I am using Remington 7 1/2 for the small primer and Federal 210 or 215 for the the large primer. Powders include CFE223, H4350, IMR4451,Superformance, and IMR4350.

I recently bought a new Savage 110 in 6.5CM -- hence my interest in reloading the cartridge.

Savage makes good low cost accurate rifles.

We own a Savage chambered in 260 Rem. I agree, very affordable sweet shooting rifles.

Use the same data ... small primer / large primer doesn't make much difference in pressure ... Except with Maximum / Near Max. / & hot loads
Maximum or near Maximum load ... drop back a few grains and work back up ... just like you would do with any change in components .

If I had both small and large primer holes in a cartridge I shot, I would use a nail polish marker across them to identify them well. Red for small green for large.
