.......

Congrats! I'm a WMR fan. In the last few years I have accumulated a few. Ruger 77/22, Keltec PMR30, and an older 10/22. This 48-4 found me at a local shop and followed me home. It's a little loud but shoots great. The finish is outstanding. The 4" is really handy to carry. I have since changed the magnas out with a real nice set of rosewood presentation targets. I need to get some new pics.

Mine is a 6" 4-screw from 1960. I love it. As stated, they have to be kept clean of powder residue under the star, and mine also requires some cylinder brushing every 50 rounds or so. I love the 50 grain Federal load; the Winchester 40 grain is good, also. Have also had good luck with PMC 40 grain soft points. It's on the bottom in the pic. Above is a 1952 K-22.
