617- 6 cylinder removal

i Was doing a deep clean on my 617-6 yesterday and i took the yoke out and tried to take the Cylinder of the yoke and it would not come off, i took the extractor rod off .
shouldn't i just be able to pull the cylinder off?
you tube videos show pulling it off am i doing something wrong?

After removing the cylinder and yoke assembly from the frame, the yoke should slide out of the cylinder. You should not have to remove the extractor rod! On occasion, with a lot of shooting before cleaning, the yoke may be gummed up and resist removal. Twisting the yoke back and forth and pulling should allow it to depart. Putting some penetrating oil on the yoke tube for awhile beforehand should make it easier, too. Do not use any more than hand force. If that does not work, something else is amiss!
