617 front sight pin

I would like to put an SDM fo front sight on my 617. What size is that roll pin? I took out a 1/16 punch and it's WAY too big. Is there a difference in the roll pin punches?
I see an order to Brownells coming up just don't know what to get.

Yes, a roll pin punch has a little tit on the end. Not absolutely needed but they do a neater job. I replace my roll pins with solid pins for looks but the roll pins are tighter and more secure. Brownell's tech guys will tell you the right size to use and don't forget to get a couple of spare pins while ordering.

SDM Fabricating. If you order a fiber optic sight from S&W it's what they send you. I put one on my 686SSR which just snaps in and love it for shooting outside. The sight is also available from Brownells , Midway etc.
