Got the wife's 622 target apart for a deep clean and CANNOT get this side plate back on. Seems the sear won't position to fit into the side plate clearance cutouts. I realize I'm fighting spring side pressure against the pin for the hammer. What am I missing/not seeing?

Just watched a video and have the "sear return spring" in the wrong position. It came out during disassembly and I assumed it went down at the bottom of the hammer spring.

I always take pictures as I take something apart I am not familiar with. One pic for each step in the process. I can keep them or delete them when finished. I really helps.

In the picture you show above the trigger bar is not engaging the sear properly, and, the sear is not properly installed... :) It's turned around, the part engaging the hammer, is where the trigger bar is supposed to engage.

Thanks, that helped a lot as the video wasn't that clear on the sear orientation and couldn't zoom in. It's back together now with no worries.
