625 3" Kydex Holster

After thousands of draws from Kydex holsters with both blued and stainless guns (gun games most weekends), I have yet to see any wear more than you'd have with a leather holster. For that matter I'd say there is less wear. What little wear there is, is concentrated in one or two small spots. With a leather holster, once it breaks in and molds itself to the gun, you now have an abrasive factor over the entire surface of the gun that is in contact with the holster. Kydex does not trap abrasive dust or powder residue particles either.

This holster is close - says 2.65" barrel...

Speed Beez Outside the Waist Band S&W 625, 627, 629 Snub Nose Tactical Revolver Holster (Fits any Smith & Wesson 2.50-2.65 Inch N-Frame) IDPA and USPSA Legal - Speed BeezSpeed Beez

made for Speed Beez by Comp Tac. You may want to call Blade Tech. They used to have holsters to fit just about anything, but they changed their business model a year or so ago and there are only a fraction of the holsters there used to be, on their website - but a call never hurts.

Good luck.

Adios,

Based on years of use with both I totally disagree with your post.

I have a Blade Tech holsters for several autos and Smith revolvers, including one for my 3” N frames. I also use L.A.G. holsters with great satisfaction. They’ll make one to fit any handgun.
