as the title says,
I sold a 625-3 a few years ago, excellent condition, complete in box, for $1250.
I have a chance at a shooter 625-2, no box, and I'm not sure where in the spectrum these are right now.

What would you expect to pay for this shooter 625-2 in todays market?

I would expect to pay at least a thousand. They are great shooters in a popular chambering.

I'd say give or take 1k bucks. Just sold a -3 4 inch the other day for 1k with a set of ahrends.

I would think about $1k for the standard 5 inch, maybe more for the shorter barrels. That said I have a -8 (ANIB) out on consignment for $1299 but in three or four months it hasn't sold.

Price range will vary widely depending on location, condition, version (dash#, pre/post lock), and barrel length. If you peruse the big auction sites, you will see "asking" prices and can find some "sold" prices.
I've been caretaker to a pair of 4" for years. If I ever find a 5" locally, it will probably take place of one of them,,

I paid $1100 for my 5" -4, and $800 for my 4" -3. I scored the 4" on a slow GB day on an auction with terrible pics of a dirty gun. Took a chance and it cleaned up very nice. I'd like to add a 3" someday, but it's a little ways down the 'list'....

Anywhere ~$1k +/- 200 is a decent price, IMHO, depending on the day, and the gun. -8 post lock guns are bringing surprisingly high prices, IMHO. I'd rather have a pre-lock anyway...

This 625-3 5" cost me about $900 via GB about half a year ago. I added the VZ grips, the gun came w Pach Grippers, no box or tools.

I felt pretty good about that price FWIW.

That is one of the later 5" variations of the -2 engineering revision

The original5", -2 engineering revision that was released had a ramp front sight along with actual roll marks instead of the laser etching on the barrel.

These were the model of 1988, your revolver is the model of 1989

All of the 3" Models of 1988 & 1989 naturally had ramp front sights

The 3" revolvers are keepers :)

As to prices, I acquired my 5" 45ACP model 625 way too many decades ago for me to even mention how much I paid for it.

I paid $850 for the 3" gun about 5 or 6 years ago. It came with some ammo and moon clips

Today, here in Florida, a 5" gun in good condition, with no box, and rubber grips on it would probably be in the $800 or so price range for me

I bought an ANIB 625-2 a couple of years ago for an all-in price of around $800.00. I'm a huge fan of 45acp revolvers, but I own very few revolvers this "new". It's a really fun shooter. I would think that a 625-2 could easily bring $1K+ in nice condition.
