Congrats Bud. Great Revolver. There were actually a few runs of these. No one really knows how many Shipped but it was less than 500.

Nice gun, did those originally ship with glossy Rosewood round butt combats?

Yep. Finger Groove Rosewood Altamonts. You can still buy them from the Smith &Wesson Website.

They look just like this but mine are Walnut versus Rosewood. Shown on my 629 UDR Bloodwork

Very nice Jim, yep those were the ones I was thinking about. Thanks.

Exactly what Jim said B san, it came with the rosewood Altamonts. I took them off because I'm a sucker for S&W combats and wanted to snap a few pics with them on. Bluedot, It did come with the original box and all the goodies.

Good snag Cory!

The initial run was about 150. The 2nd run of the 625-7 was about 405 units. All were product code 148121. Total production was 555.

What is the 3 alpha prefix on yours? I've had discussions recently with another member that the prefix may/does distinguish which run these belong to.

Now you need the other 3 to complete the consecutive product code 3"ers distributed by Lew Horton :)

This is the info about the 4 product codes and production number directly from Lew Horton:

And here is my 625-7 and 657. Both are with boxes:). Now I need the 625 in .45 ACP and the 610....
