Well, I hadn't went to the range in over 3 months, & I had a couple of .45 Colts that I bought last year but never got around to shooting, soo ....

I always loved my 625-7 LH (so I bought a 2nd one - it's an illness as many of you can atest), and I just had to try out the Performance Center 625-7 Light Hunter. I believe S&W only made approximately 200. I love the flat sided grips that came with it, but for shooting I put some Culinas on it.

Both guns made look good (imo) considering my bad eyes and rusty habits, so I had to show them off here, as I was proud I did as well. I normally don't shoot beyond 10yards, (double action combat - old habit), but decided I should shoot 6" Hunter at the 16 yard (farthest at this pistol range - thankfully:p).

I was shooting 200gr Cowboy rounds, so that was a big help! Here you go friends!;)

Love these beautiful flat sided combats (came with PC aluminum case & manual, etc.)

Culina comfort & adds to the balance of the heavy barrel.

Two 25-9s and a 625-7 MG.

Great revolvers.

When the 625 Lite Hunter was first shown in Lew Horton's booth at the 1997 SHOT Show I ordered one right away.

This version of the 625 Lite Hunter (SKU 170085) used CLT at the serial prefix. Number CLT0003 arrived in March of 97.

I have a serial number thing and when I saw the serial number of the revolver that was shipped we called Lew Horton right away and had them send out serial number CLT0045.

I am pretty sure that yours,is product code 170132, a RSR Exclusive Offering. When your variation came out in 1999, I did not order one since the major difference was the fluted cylinder, that is what made it different from the Lew Horton Exclusive, product code 170085, and I already had two of the 170085s.

All of these early Performance Center revolvers are exceptional shooters. I wish I had more cash in the mad money fund back them, there are several Performance Center offerings that I had to pass on due to my cash flow

Very interesting, & didn't know there are 2 variations, & very cool that you obtained #45. You have some great guns!

Do you know how many were made of the different releases/variations. Also, can I assume yours came stock from the factory with Hogues?

Nice to see that flyer! Thanks!

The 625 PC's are fantastic looking! Wish I could have/ afford 1.
I do have a 625JM, and a 25-15 in Colt. I like the 45's better than 44 magnum. 25-7 & 25-9 are others on my want list! Bob

That was more then two decades ago and I no longer recall if there were known production figures.

However most all Exclusive Performance Center offerings of that era that I have records for show a minimum initial order of 300 pieces

The original grips are the same late production Factory combats like on your revolver. I switched to the Houges because I liked them

So true! What product number is your Hunter? Thanks for those pics!
The 625 Hunter should be 170081.

I can no longer recall why, but I was led to believe that only 50 of these were slated for US delivery and that the remaining revolvers went to Europe.

A Six Pack of 45s!

Very nice OP! :D

I do love me some .45 Colts. But mine are all blue. ;)

The bottom right is .45acp. But the rest are all in .45 Colt. ;)

Thank you! Nice group of 45s there. Is the bottom right a 25 No Dash? I love the looks of the Schofields, but for some reason, haven't gotten around to buying one.
