When I bought this 625 I ordered 2 other grips from S&W. I really like the ones that came with it. Their red,white and blue colors are unique and I like how I can get my pinky of the supporting hand on them. The other two Hogue/S&W grips feel great when only using 1 hand though. Which would you choose?

My first choice for this would be Ahrends finger groove grips. For me they offer superior feel in the hand, great shootability, and are a joy to look at.

Well since no one has, as of yet, picked one of the three grips the OP asked to be chosen from... I'd pick the black hogue ? grips. I think they look good on stainless guns especially, and should definitely help handle the recoil better than the tri colored grips that are currently on the gun. Just my two cents. I'd shoot all three and see which ones feel the best to you, you can always let your favorite visually stay on the gun when sitting in the safe :)

Which one gives you the best grip when shooting it? I prefer the Houge grip myself, but some people just want to collect them and not shoot them...if that is your case then leave the red,white, blue grip.

Nothing wrong with wood grips, they are great for dressing up your gun, but the rubber grips are what most of the competition guys use. I agree that of all the wood grips out, the Ahrends seem to fit the best. I would start by saying choose the grips that fit your hand the best. The advantage of the orange X-frame grips is their ability to help tame the recoil of the big magnums.

When I got mine I immediately discarded the clown grips and ordered Hogue cocobolo and Pachmeyer decelerator grips. The Hogue wood grips are beautiful but the Pachs are my shooting grips.

Pick whatever best fits your hand. I have a 625-2 that came with the Hogue grips. I like them. They fit my hand well. I did however swap out to Pachmayr Presentation grips as I just like the way they handle.

I'm using the Ahrends Retro Cmbt while waiting for my Spegel rd to sq extended bootgrip.

Don't overlook Altamont grips. They feel amazing!

For stand-still target shooting, I would use the black Hogues.

For move and shoot or draw and shoot, I would take the Jerry-style flag grip as it allows you to adjust on the fly if you need to.

I've used both and like them very much. When you're moving or drawing, the adrenaline is a little more elevated and you won't notice the increase in felt recoil.

I give the orange a poing for style but I personally think they would distract you from the sight picture if you didn't completely cover them with the web of your strong hand.

The OP mentioned those grips specifically. For looks, the Ahrends get my vote.
