625 forcing cone, Oh no..

Picked up an Unfired 625-8 Classic (nonJM)

Forcing cone is a bit rough. On the way to S&W. Hope they get it back to me slicked up without setting the barrel back.

Looks like one of my PC revolvers, only better!
I sent these pictures of my 3.6" CSX E-Series and after a number of communications I was told that it's "just standard machining marks".

I’d have fired it first.
The proof is in the pudding. In this case, the targets.
I bought it to resell. I couldn't ignore the forcing cone. (Of course I didn't see it till I got home) Hoping it comes back cleaned up and I can send it to a new home with good conscience.
 
I happen to live in a state where FTF sales are still legal without a 4473. If that's what you're thinking.
That and ATF requirements for having an FFL when acting as a reseller. Here in VA, unless it is a close family member, everything has to go through a FFL.
