OKFC05,
Thanks - but can you tell me why you like these?
Thanks,
Bob S.
In IDPA, the fiber optic sights have become THE thing, not to mention Revolver, Limited and Production in USPSA.
I prefer the SDM for revolvers because the lower one matches S&W factory sights and the quality is superb. I don't know how much you know about IDPA/USPSA shooting, but running against the clock means rapid acquisition, flash sight pictures, and shoot as fast as you can acquire COM. The better you can see the
front sight, the better you can move. For those rare long shots, just use the sight as a normal front post.
The only negative is that the fiber rod can be broken (it's pretty tough), which is why the range bag has spare rods in it. With the rod broken out, it still looks like a normal post.
I have seen some people who don't know how to use them and don't like them until they learn how, but most like them right off. Just align the sights as you acquire, put the dot in the A zone and double tap.
