627 5” Holster help

I picked up a S&W 627 performance center 5”. It’s what I consider to be a nice modern upgrade over my 686. When shopping for an OWB holster for it, I am met with limited options. Seems what is out there is limited to the 4” 627 models. The only non-custom holster for the 5” I am able to find is S&W’s holster on their website.

Any other options out there that I am overlooking without going custom?

Looking for something to carry around in the woods.

There are more than a few talented leathersmiths on this forum. You might open yourself up to their specialties.

Black hills leather will build anything you want he’s reasonably priced and the quality is great

Simply Rugged is another that builds quality user-tested holsters for that one. I have one of theirs for a N 5" that's a good one.

You might as well open your search up to a custom or limited production, as the N 5" is an uncommon gun and in-stock holsters are scarce to non-existant. Get the features you want that way.

You'll find that most of the custom holsters don't cost much more than an off the shelf holster, (unless you get all the stamping on it). There are a few on the Forum that will make exactly what you want. Greg Sanders in Pinson AL is one.
