627-5 PC

Just wondering how hard a 627-5 pc with a 2.6" barrel is to find? I love the pistol but have a trade offer on a Springfield EMP and was wondering what the general consensus was on the trade? Is it a good or bad one. I'm a newbie here and look forward to gaining gun some wheel gun ensight.

Only you can decide on the trade. I have both and if I could only keep one it would be the 627.

I don't think they are hard to find at all. I ordered mine from Buds and they still have in stock at $910.

I have seen plenty of them for sale on GB as well.

As far as the value of the trade, that really depends. EMP is a bit more in price if it's the original EMP, if it's the EMP4, the values pretty close.

Not hard to find at all, but I would be hard pressed to let mine go!

*oh, and I am a 1911 loving fool, but wouldn't trade my 627-5 for an EMP.

The PC 627 Snub you mention is ubiquitous for good reason; it is arguably S&W's premiere concealed side-arm in a revolver platform; it was originally marketed by S&W as the "Ultimate Defensive Revolver". I would arguably agree, particularly if you value the 8 Shot capacity and recoil control. I have two.

Keep the 627. It's a wonderful gun. Barrel is kinda long, though. Never heard of an EMP. Doesn't that stand for "electro-magnetic pulse?"

I appreciate the input, i am going to shoot it for the first time tomorrow. I've only had it for a week. I'm probably gonna fall in love and end up keeping it, the only .357 I've had in the past were smaller grip/framed guns and I didn't enjoy shooting them. From the research it looks like it handles pretty good so we will see.
