The day I picked up this 627 I called Simply Rugged and ordered the leather -- it came a few days ago.

Rob's lined Sourdough Pancake™ with the Celtic Knot carving is as mightily stout as our homeland's Black Watch Regiment while also being as stately as all get out.

Next will come the new wood from Herrett's. They're doin' it in bubinga to sort of match the leather's cordovan color. (I apologized in advance for making them saw and sand that stinky but elegant wood.)

I've got 2 Simply Rugged holsters. One for my 3" Model 60 Pro Series in Oxblood, and the other for my 3" K frames in tan. I love their holsters. Very comfortable owb or iwb with the straps. Very versatile, can be worn cross draw as well.

I would warn you about one thing Bob, the Oxblood dye can temporarily stain your pants for a period of time when it's new. It does wash out however. I found using some leather conditioner helps. Love the Celtic knot design! Congratulations!

Rob Leahy leather is second to none. Just carried a Ruger Security Six in one of his pancakes for the last couple of days, in snake territory, with first shot as snake shot.
