I'm looking at at 1983 (I believe) 629-1 and trying to get a realistic value. He states original box, triple t's 95+% Any thoughts

Hi Pats. Happy Holidays to you. What barrel length are we talking about here?

If I were selling an excellent 629-1 6" in the box with tools and paper work I would probably ask $800 and take the first bid at $750+.

If it's an odd ball transition model with a recessed cylinder or a pinned barrel, add 10ish percent.

Hope this helps. If you get it, please post pics. We love pics around here. Especially of .44's:)

He has no tools and it is not pinned and recessed. Wants $1050 so way too high. I'll probably pass on this one but keep looking. Thanks for your help.

You're welcome. You will have no problem beating that number 7 days a week...even on gbroker. Happy hunting my friend.

I bought this 629-1 five years ago for $615.

While I would love to think my gun had appreciated in value as much as the guy selling the one you're looking at, I have to be realistic and agree with the $750 to $850 estimate.
