What are you shooting out of it? I have had mine for 5 years and have not gotten up the nerve to fire factory magnum loads.Took it out for a test drive today. I had ordered the wilson combat spring kit for it and installed before the outing. Double action pull was 9 lbs and single was 3.5. No FTF. Good dents on the primers. My first shot at 25 feet was dead center on the target. Second shot was a half inch to the left…third was touching the first. Move back and continued to be amazed. At 50 feet or less I am as accurate with this gun as any other despite the 2.5 barrel. This may become my go to gun….yea![]()

I have a box of Remington 240 JHP's sitting on the shelf. I have been shooting cast 240 grain SWC's over 8.5 grains of Unique for a nice mild load. I agree though that it handles and points great. Mine is my fishing companion.I shot a mix of PMc 180 gr 44 specials and federal 240 jhp 44 mags. The gun handled the moderate mag loads easily. I would not worry about moderate mag loads. The heavy stuff might be an issue but the heat +p buffalo bore loads are stout even in my freedom arms 83.
I have never felt this comfortable with a new gun so quickly!
