629 Magnum Packer

That was a fun Saturday Hami. Last match of 2022/Gainesville is this Sat. Come watch ''MR 75'' miss a few.. 44 Spcl works better.
l had one of those 3'' unfluted 629s. W/O the exhaust ports.
Daughter ended up with it. l called it ''THE BRICK''. That's exactly what it reminds me of. Dont miss the BRICK one bit

That was a fun Saturday for sure! I need to get back out there with you and 75Vette soon especially since it's cooling off so well in the Deep South now... I've been meaning to contact the both of you here thru PM's...

That 3" Mountain Back Packer with "Combats" just works for me... I've shot other Silhouette Matches with her with even better results and also at the Bi-Annual "Farm-Shoot" my brother and I sponsor down in Fayetteville yearly... Both of you should come to our next one and I'll email you both.
We shoot Handguns at 35, 50, 75, and 100-Yards with Magnum/Wood's Guns upon on AR-500 hardened steel 12"x18" Silhouette Plates... Makes for a lot of fun especially when that PING report gives instant gratification of target acquired and target popped effect!

We have a 100 and a 200 yard rifle shoot, and a trap/skeet shoot set-up too...

Hammy, You did in fact shoot that day with the combats. They're made by John Culina and are as nice as everything else he makes. All pieces of art. I originally put them on a 3" 29-3 but bought a set of Culina Stabilized Burl combats so they took over duty on my 3" 629-6.

Your old combats on the 29-3

The Stabilized Burls on same gun. I think this was a better match on a blued gun.

And the 629-6 your old set resides on now.
