Well, after carefully reading all the pros and cons in the threads here that deal with a standard 4", 629 versus a 4", 629 Mountain Gun, I made my decision. I actually have two standard 629s, one with a 6" barrel and one with an 8 3/8" so I was naturally considering a 4". I ran across this one at my local favorite dealership last week and have tossed it around in my mind ever since. As I was in reality leaning towards something a little lighter than the standard 629, I decided to buy it. It came with the box along with all the paper work and the envelope containing the test shot casing was still sealed. The date on this envelope is 8-8-02. I didn't get it at a steal but I got what I considered a very fair price. I'm certainly not an expert but I would consider it almost like NIB. Now to go and see what all the talk is about its smack when the hammer drops
