629 no dash P+R 8 3/8" how many made

A while back now-
When I bought the 686 with the K Frame Sideplate,
Couldn’t find a proper one,
Caved, sent the 686 to the Mother Ship.
After installing a Sideplate, they charged me $75 for a ‘refinish.’
It appeared to maybe have been in the same room as some buffers.
I didn’t see any change in appearance.

I have had one on my table for three shows.
priced at 1500.00
NIB with all tools and factory letter...see previous post.
Looks of lookers....no takers.

Going to mark it at $1350 next show.
If it does not sell or turn into something else
I will just keep it.

Beautiful stuff.
I have the three but not cases for all.
My 6” came with blue box and mint presentation case with wax paper in original shopping carton.
I did not know I was getting the full kit as it wasn’t really advertised that way. The photos of the gun were good but the rest weren’t all there, so you imagine how happy I was to receive the full kit when I picked it up at my LGS.
GB winning bid was $1131. $1285 after T and F.
Pretty good.
I’m watching one out there right now. 8 3/8 full kit, cellophane wrapped case, blue box, original shipping box.
My mouth is watering… but I don’t think I’ll “pull the trigger” on it.
There was also a 4” with box papers and full kit that went for $2200 the other day. I’m keeping a keen eye on all the N frames in particular.
I am a completely helpless addict at the stage…

Sir, be careful about an original case that is "still wrapped in cellophane"! The original covering for the forms of these cases did not hold up to the test of time, whether they were used to store a gun or not! All of the cases in my picture have had the covering replaced. In fact, the 4" case was purchased by me with the original cellophane wrapper intact. When I touched the original covering, it turned into blue dust!

My 629-0 4" is P&R. Serial # N853XXX. Maybe that will help someone.
